Today we arrived at Torbole. In the evening we cycled up Monte Brione which is about 300m in altitude. Monte Brione is between Torbole and Riva and the view down to both cities and the lake is very nice.

Torbole
This year we spent another holiday in Torbole. This place is great, right beside the Lake Garda and a good starting point for cycling and doing via ferratas in the area. We stayed at a nice accommodation called 'Garni Ischia'. We rented our bikes at 3S-Bikes. The bikes were very good. Best pizza and pasta is from Al Pescatore. Unfortunately there is a main road going through the town, so in the summer months there is always a lot of traffic. But we do really like the sea side of Torbole, so we will come again 🙂
Padova – one of the oldest cities of Italy
Only 30 minutes away from Venice is the city of Padova. Padova is one of the oldest cities of Italy and on the Internet we read that it should have a nice historic city center. So we decided to take the train and go there.
But Padova was not what we expected - it was full of people in shopping streets. And there was a lot of traffic. So after walking around for some time we decided to take a rest in a nice cafe - Locanda Peccatorum.
Lido – Venice’s beach
One morning we decided to take the water bus to the island of Lido. Lido is famous for its sandy beaches and only 15 minutes away from Venice. So we spent the day walking along the beach. The sun was shining, but it was really cold! So after a couple of hours outside we enjoyed some vegetable soup before heading back to Venice.
